I spent a few days in Bordeaux at the start of this month and was instantly charmed by this city. I told myself I'd take it easy, but if you know me you'll know that I have never been particularly good at that. It feels like it's been forever since I've had a chance to shoot film, and I'm grateful for how picturesque Bordeaux was for giving me the opportunity to pause and look up as I wandered around.
This last trip—Bordeaux and London (not pictured)—felt too short, but that's my fault since I spent three days of it working from my company's London office for the second half of the weeklong jaunt across the pond. It was surreal to walk into an office building I passed dozens of times when I was still a student. I caught myself imagining I actually lived and worked there. What if I decided to not leave London three years ago after all?
Instead I am living in New York now, my new home since the start of summer. I'm not sure how long it's supposed to take until it hits me that I am here for the time being, but I'm doing my best to make this city feel more real and more mine.
More on that sometime soon.
xoxo, vivian
