about

Humanities heart and social science mind. I am a twenty-two year old recent Berkeley grad with a passion for John Galliano for Christian Dior, beautiful and tragic villains, handwritten notes, and film photography.

I believe that:
  • Fashion is art. Art is life.
  • "Magic exists in the attempt of understanding someone and sharing something."
  • Villains are the heroes of their own narratives.
  • Lana del Rey sounds like nostalgia and the disillusionment of innocence lost.
  • Stories are how we understand who we are and where we come from.
  • Coffee tastes best when it's cold and rainy.
This started out in 2013 as a space for me to share my passion for fashion; I posted my favorite fashion editorials, ad campaigns, and runway shows. I had a change of heart partway through running this blog by 2015, so instead of fashion you'll find reviews of my favorite works of filmliterature, and television, an archive my daily obsessions, sporadic journal entries, and travel adventures months overdue.

All post material—photographs, writing, etc.—is my original content unless a specified source is noted; for images, credit is found either at the end of each post or in the caption space. I edit most of the images that appear on this blog in Adobe Photoshop CS6. If I have misidentified a source and/or you are the rightful owner of an image and wish to have it removed, please let me know.

I always reply to comments left on my blog within a week (usually within 24 hours). Inquiries may be sent to seattleitefashionista(at)gmail(dot)com; you can also find me on Twitter and Instagram.
